We love sharing the truth about septic systems...

When consumers seek information about their septic systems, they have hundreds of websites at their disposal. Many sources are accurate and helpful, while others spread misinformation, often in an attempt to sell ancillary products.

Maintaining your septic system isn’t rocket science, but it is a science – namely biology. Many factors must be in place for systems to treat wastewater safely enough for discharge to the environment.
Since March 2001, American Septic Service has flourished by becoming specialists in septic designs, installations, inspections, and troubleshooting in Cochise County.

I created septicpedia.com to share my experiences helping homeowners and to provide insight into what our licensed technicians accomplish and how they do it. The website is a potpourri of information, pictorial documentation, and some history of the onsite wastewater treatment industry. Thank you for paying us a visit.

Dawn Long, co-owner of American Septic Service in a Sierra Vista, Arizona, is certified by the National Association of Wastewater Technicians (NAWT) and the Consortium of Institutes for Decentralized Wastewater Treatment. She also is a member of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality Onsite Wastewater Advisory Committee and a state-certified site and soil evaluator.

Dawn is a regular presenter at Arizona-based NAWT inspector training courses and has been a featured speaker at the Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo International and the annual National Association of Wastewater Recycling conference. Her graphic seminars based on field research add an extra dimension to classroom sessions for pumpers, onsite installers, service providers, and homeowners.
